THE DETAILS: In this workshop you will engage with the ancient techniques of Shibori through hand dyeing a luxurious silk scarf along side ICTgirl and Textile Designer Liv Grant, of Liv+work. Through out the workshop, you will be given a choice of several dyeing techniques- each yielding it’s own uniquely intricate design. While the dye is setting you can mingle and eat a delicious complimentary lunch, learn the rich history of Shibori and how each technique originated and what they represent- also a perfect time to shop handcrafted fashion, accessories and home goods by liv+work and The Workroom featured artists. By the end of the workshop the finished scarves will be washed and their patterns reveled!
Liv+work will have a pop-up shop for you to peruse at the Shibori Workshop where you can shop your favorites, winter fur scarves and southwest bags.
